Textile markings can take the form of sewn-in tags made of nylon or gentle satin. Their main advantage is their high elasticity, resistance to chemicals and high tear resistance. The most common application for textile tags is marking in the clothing industry.

Satin and nylon tags can be printed with thermal transfer printers. Printing in special colour printers for textiles is also widespread.
